TOTE MARITIME DONATES TO SUPPORT gAMERS sPORTS FACILITY
TOTE Maritime Alaska announced a $65,000 grant to Gamers Sports Alaska to support additional upgrades to the organization’s east Anchorage youth sports facility.
The investment will help expand opportunities for youth athletes in Northeast Anchorage by supporting improvements to the facility, which provides indoor training space and programming for local kids and families year-round. Founded by former professional baseball player Jamar Hill, Gamers Sports Alaska focuses on increasing access to sports, mentorship, and positive opportunities for youth in underserved communities.

U.S. COAST GUARD ANNOUNCES HOMEPORTING OF THE FIRST TWO ARCTIC SECURITY CUTTERS IN ALASKA
The U.S. Coast Guard announced the first two Arctic Security Cutters will be homeported in Alaska, with delivery expected by the end of 2028. Planning is underway to ensure infrastructure, housing and trained crews are in place to support the vessels and meet growing Arctic security needs.
MATSON CONTRIBUTED $8.6 MILLION TO COMMUNITY PROGRAMS IN 2025
Matson contributed a total of $8.6 million in cash and in-kind support in 2025 to 709 charitable organizations and non-profit programs across the communities it serves.

Whales are safer in their ocean habitat thanks to Matson’s investment in advanced technology and research partnerships. The Hawaii-based ocean transportation and logistics company is deploying AI-powered systems on its containerships to help detect and avoid marine mammals, building on a longstanding collaboration with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
